How a methodology gets into this index, and what "sourced" means here
Football Frameworks matches your answers to coaching approaches using a fixed, deterministic rule, never an AI model and never a popularity count. This page explains what goes into each approach's profile, what counts as a real source, and where the honest limits of that checking sit today.
The rule for a primary source
A profile only carries the "Primary-sourced" badge on the catalogue when someone has actually opened and checked one of these, and links to it directly on the entry:
- a federation or governing body's own published curriculum,
- the founder or lead researcher's own institutional page or published paper,
- the official organisation or publisher that carries the methodology's teaching material today, or
- for Kevin's own profile, his own published book.
A summary blog, a listicle, or another AI tool's description of a methodology does not qualify, even if the facts in it happen to be correct. No source on this product is invented, and no quote is put in a methodology's or a researcher's mouth that they did not actually publish.
What the badge proves, and what it does not
As of this page, all 12 profiles in the catalogue carry a checked source link. That proves who developed each approach, roughly when, and points you to where it is officially taught or published today.
It does not prove that the numeric ratings on each profile, how prescriptive it is, how much time or coach education it demands, are independently measured. Those ratings, and Kevin's labelled take on each approach, remain a working characterisation: an honest judgement call, not a cited statistic. The scoring that matches your answers to a result is a fixed, published rule (see the catalogue), not a validated assessment of coaching effectiveness. Nothing on this product has been through the five real coach walkthroughs the product's own plan calls for before it would call itself a finished, validated index.
Where this still falls short
A fuller sourced catalogue, in the sense of a primary-source citation for every individual claim inside a profile rather than one source establishing the methodology itself, is a later phase of this product. Real coach walkthroughs, search-demand evidence and independent review of whether the scoring is fair across different coaching contexts have not been done. This page will be updated honestly as that work happens, not before.
