Ten players. One GOAT. Settle it.
Search a catalogue of thousands of footballers, rank your ten greatest, and add your ballot to the all-time community Hall of Fame.
What you get
- 01Search by name, with nationality, position and era to tell players apart
- 02Reorder with buttons, not drag, so it works on a phone and with a keyboard
- 03Your ballot scores 10 points for first down to 1 for tenth in the community table
Who it's for: Anyone who has ever argued about the greatest player of all time and wanted the receipts.
No account needed to build your ten. You sign in with Google only when you submit.
Build your Hall of FameQuestions coaches ask
- Do I need to sign in?
- Not to build your ten, read the table or open anyone else’s shared Hall of Fame. You sign in with Google only when you submit, and your ten come back with you. That is what keeps the community table honest: one account holds one ballot, so nobody can vote a hundred times.
- How are the community points worked out?
- Every ballot awards 10 points to the player at number one, 9 to number two, and so on down to 1 point for number ten. The table adds those points together into the all-time community ranking.
- Can I change my ten later?
- Yes. Your account has one ballot and you can update it whenever you like. The community table removes your old picks and applies the new ones, so nothing is counted twice.
- What if a player is missing from the list?
- The catalogue covers thousands of footballers from the men’s and women’s game, but it will never be complete. Missing names cannot be published until we have verified the player and added them to the catalogue.
- Where does the player list come from?
- It is built from Wikidata, which is public-domain data, and cached by FootballGPT. It is a search aid, not a ranking: FootballGPT does not pick or rate any player for you.
