Questions coaches ask
- Why do I need to sign in?
- Signing in is what keeps the community table honest. One account holds one ballot, so nobody can vote a hundred times. You can view the table and anyone else’s shared Hall of Fame without an account.
- How are the community points worked out?
- Every ballot awards 10 points to the player at number one, 9 to number two, and so on down to 1 point for number ten. The table shows the all-time total and how many ballots each player appears on.
- Can I change my ten later?
- Yes. Your account has one ballot and you can update it whenever you like. The community table removes your old picks and applies the new ones, so nothing is counted twice.
- What if a player is missing from the list?
- Type the name and add it yourself. The catalogue covers thousands of footballers from the men’s and women’s game, but it will never be complete, so manual entry is always available.
- Where does the player list come from?
- It is built from Wikidata, which is public-domain data, and cached by FootballGPT. It is a search aid, not a ranking: FootballGPT does not pick or rate any player for you.
