Questions people ask

How does the community table work?

Every ballot is ten ranked players. The player at number one scores 10 points, number two scores 9, and so on down to 1 point for number ten. The table adds those points up across every ballot ever submitted. Once enough ballots are in, it also shows how many ballots each player appears on, so you can see the difference between a player everybody rates highly and a player a smaller group rates first.

Do I need an account?

Not to build a ballot, read the table or open anyone’s shared ranking. You sign in once with Google when you submit to keep one ballot per person, protect your result and keep the ranking fair for everyone. Change your mind whenever you like: updating your ballot removes your old points and applies the new ones.

What do I get when I submit?

A permanent page of your own with your ten in order and a share card, ready for X, Facebook, WhatsApp or a download. Your ballot also joins the community table for that Hall of Fame.

Where does the player list come from?

The search box is backed by a cached catalogue built from Wikidata, public-domain data covering thousands of players from the men’s and women’s game, with nationality, position and era shown so you can tell two players with the same name apart. It is a search aid and nothing more. FootballGPT does not pick, rate or rank any player for you, and missing names are held back until they can be verified and added to the catalogue.
